Paw-traits for your pets!
Squeaaaaak! Squeak! It’s time to share the latest news!
The Witness Photography is now offering paw-traits! Get it? Portraits for your pets are now a thing! Pets have always been welcomed during session, but now you book a session that is just for you to get portraits of your favorite furry animal in your life.
How does this work?
It’s simple- book a paw-trait session the same way you do any other session. Contact me, determine a date & time that works for both parties, sign a contract, and pay a non-refundable deposit. Final payments for sessions are due two weeks before the session, but if more time is needed, a payment plan can be created. Then you wait for your session and show up!
What should I expect during a session?
Always show up early! Usually 15 minutes is fine, as this allows your pet to get acquainted with me and the space we use for the session. Don’t worry, I’ll have treats at the ready!
How long does a session last?
Sessions can last anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour- it all depends on how your fur child behaves during the session, and what kind of paw-traits you may want.
How should I prepare?
This is a very important step. It’s best to make sure your pet is well groomed before arriving. This means making sure they have recently bathed (if they are white, then I recommend a shampoo that helps keep the white bright), and if they have long hair, they need to be brushed prior to showing up. Don’t forget to bring any cute accessories that you normally have your furry one wearing and a favorite toy or two. Make sure collars and tags are cleaned well, and don’t forget the leash!
What kind of set up can you do?
Any kind- just let me know what you would prefer. I have a backdrop system set up in our house, with lights and multiple backdrops. I can do a session at your house, the dog park, or anywhere else that allows photo sessions. If it is a location that requires a permit or entrance fee, plan for that to be included in the cost of the session.
What if I have more than one pet that I want pictures of together?
That could be tricky, but I can make it work! If they get along and listen to commands well, then it could be possible to get their paw-traits taken together. But no matter what, I will still take separate portraits of each pet.
