Weddings at The McAlister-Leftwich House

The McAlister-Leftwich House sits on top of a small hill

In the heart of downtown Greensboro, you’ll find a unique setting for a wedding venue- two houses made into one! Which makes it symbolic as that is what marriage is all about, too.

Sitting on a hill, you’ll drive up to the McAlister-Leftwich House and find that you won’t have to worry about not having options for a ceremony, photos, and a reception. And while many venues have spaces for both wedding parties to get ready, the McAlister-Leftwich House guarantees that you won’t have to worry about seeing each other- unless you both go looking!

One of my favorite features of the house is the many different rooms, each offering classy details with chandeliers, sconces, and fireplaces. And while several venues end up having little-to-no lighting inside for photography, the natural light the comes in perfectly in many areas of the house, and outside has plenty of shady areas providing beautiful green backdrops for portraits.

And if you are a bride dreaming of that perfect walking down the stairs shot- you can get it! Just inside the main entrance you’ll be greeted with a staircase that is full of elegance and class, with a second set that leads to the bridal suite in the second section of the house.

With the help of Cheryl and her daughter Kaitlin, you won’t have to worry about missing any details. They’re beyond helpful with their attentiveness and enthusiasm to help you have the best day possible when you decide to book the McAlister-Leftwich House.
