Weddings at the T. Austin Finch House
It’s easy to see how a couple can fall in love with the T. Austin Finch House. Immediately upon arrival you’re met with a Juliet balcony, original wood work, chandeliers in every room, and a perfectly shaded outdoor ceremony site. There are plenty of rooms for hosting friends and family for all parts of the wedding day from getting ready to the ceremony, to cocktail hour in the silver room and ending with the perfect backdrop for a sparkler exit.
Couples can choose to do either an intimate wedding of 50 people with a ceremony in the Library or a traditional wedding of around 150 guests with an outdoor ceremony. There are spacious rooms for both wedding parties to get ready. The bridal suite includes a walk-in closet with mirrors all around. And the grooms suite has plenty of games like cards, darts, and even a pool table.
But that isn’t all.
To provide the best experience for all couples, the Finch house is an all-inclusive venue, providing an in-house coordinator who handles all the details all the way to the end. They currently offer a weekend package that allows couples to utilize the space the day before their wedding to use for their rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, and even start decorating early. Owner Andrew Clement is also on-site the day of any event or wedding, so you will always have someone there to keep the day running smoothly.
Andrew, and his wife Hilary bought the T. Austin Finch House in 2017 after Andrew fell in love with it. They spent the next year restoring the house to what you see today. In case you didn’t know, this isn’t the first time they’ve done a restoration project. They’ve restored 17 properties together, with Andrew having done as many as 500, if not more.
Between Andrew’s love of woodworking and Hilary’s expertise in art, the house is a true labor of love full of attention to detail. History is displayed throughout the house in a tasteful manor through decorations, furniture, and lighting that only makes you as a guest appreciate the Finch House even more.
The T. Austin Finch House has had over 50 weddings since they opened its doors in 2018. Hosting weddings of 50 to 150 people, it’s clear to see how this North Carolina wedding venue can stay booked! To book a tour, visit the website.
